Dimensions: 68,58×13,72×4,66 m [225'×45'×15'30 (d)], displacement 3340 tons.

1967 September 1: Laid down at Palmer Shipbuilding & Iron Co., Jarrow, England.
1868 December 2: Launched.
1870 September: Completed [David Prothero has: May 5].
1871 April 9: Arrived to Melbourne.
1900: Reduced to harbour service [David Prothero has: 1906].
1918: Converted to a depot ship and renamed Platypus II [David Prothero has: 1921].
1924 April 23: Sold.
1926 September 2: Sunk as breakwater at Black Rock, Port Phillip.
1995: Still in existance in Melbourne.
