A four-masted steel barque built in 1891 by W. Doxford & Sons, Sunderland.
Her dimensions were: 89,61×13,10×7,31 meters
[294'0"×43'0"×24'0"] and tonnage: 2538 GRT and 2398 NRT.
Rigged with nothing above double top- and top-gallant sails, i.e. "baldhead" rig.
Sistership to the same owner's four-masted barques Republic and Nation.
- 1891 December
- Launched at the shipyard of W. Doxford & Sons,
Sunderland, for William Thomas & Co., Liverpool. The first master was Captain
William Meredith, Nefyn, Wales.
- 1899 January 19
- Left Honolulu for Royal Roads, Vancouver,
British Columbia, in ballast and has never been heard of again.
