A four-masted steel barque built in 1891 by W. Doxford & Sons, Sunderland.
Her dimensions were: 89,61×13,10×7,31 meters
[294'0"×43'0"×24'0"] and tonnage: 2540 GRT and 2401 NRT.
Rigged with double top- and top-gallant sails, i.e. "baldhead" rig.
Sistership to the same owner's four-masted barques Republic and Dominion.
- 1891 July
- Launched at the shipyard of W. Doxford & Sons,
Sunderland, for
William Thomas & Co., Liverpool. The master was Captain Robert
Wynne.
- 1892 March 24
- Left Rangoon for Bremen with a cargo of rice and
was never heard of again. Believed to have been lost in a hurricane off
Mauritius.
