Alexandre

A four-masted steel barque built in 1902 by Chantiers de France, Dunkerque. Dimensions 96,01×13,71×7,33 meters [315'0"×45'0"×24'1"] and tonnage 3205 GRT and 2419 NRT. Rigged with nothing over double top- and topgallant sails.

1902 June 22: Launched at the shipyard of Chantiers de France, Dunkerque, for Ant. Dom. Bordes et fils, Dunkerque. Captain J.B. Forgeard père.
1903: Sailed from Iquique to Dunkerque in 79 days.
1903 November 21: Lost at sea after the breakage of the cable some 20 miles off Whitby during towage between Dunkerque and Tyne. Captain Maurin and the entire crew was lost.
