A four-masted iron and steel barque built in 1885 by Barclay, Curle & Co., Glasgow. Dimensions: 87,01×12,92×7.38 meters [285'6"×42'5"×24'3], tonnage: 2117 GRT and 1903 NRT. Rigged with royal sails above double top- and single topgallant sails.

Launched at the shipyard of Barclay, Curle & Co., Glasgow, for R. & J. Craig, Glasgow. To be used in the Indian jute trade. The first master of the ship was Captain F.W.J. Tode.

Sailed from Calcutta with a cargo of jute to Dundee in 123 days.

Sailed from Calcutta to London with a cargo of jute in 106 days. Captain W. Hood assumed the command.

Arrived at Hamburg, 126 days out from Tocopilla. Sold to the Germans and re-rigged as afourmasted barque according to Lubbock.

Wrecked at South Rock, County Down, Ireland, en route Mobile, AL, — Glasgow.
