A four-masted steel barque built in 1891 by Scott & Co., Greenock at a cost of $ 150.000.
Dimensions: 85,79×12,87×7,41 meters [281'6"×42'3"×24'4"], and tonnage: 2251 GRT and 2136 NRT.

1891 December 7
Launched at the shipyard of Scott & Co., Greenock, for Briggs, Harvie & Co. (Francis Briggs), Glasgow.
1892 January
Delivered to the owners.
1893 June
Left Birkenhead, Great Britain, for San Francisco with a cargo of coal.
1893 November 18
Smoke was discovered coming from the coal.
1893 November 22
Towed by the steam schonner Caspar to the Cojo Anchorage, 1,5 mile east of Point Conception, CA, where she anchored.
1893 November 24
Sank in six fathoms of water.
