Howard D. Troop

A four-masted steel barque built in 1892 by R. Duncan & Co., Port Glasgow. Dimensions: 88,76×12,85×7,31 meters [291'3"×42'2"×24'0"] and tonnage: 2165 GRT and 2080 NRT.

Rigged with royal sails over double top and topgallant sails.

1892 January: Launched at the shipyard of R. Duncan & Co., Port Glasgow, for Troop & Son, Glasgow [?]. Captain Raymond Parker.
1892 February 12 - February 26: Sailed from Greenock to New York in 13 days 2 hours from Tory Island where the tug was dropped.
1892: Captain J. McLaughlin.
1899 January: Sailed in ballast from Hong Kong to Astoria, OR, in 57 days.
1904: Sailed from Singapore to Manila in 9 days 16 hours.
1906: Sailed from Sydney with 3500 tons of wheat to Falmouth where she arrived on May 11 after 82 days.
1909 September 6 - September 26: Sailed from Yokohama to Astoria, OR, in 21 days. 351 miles were sailed on September 21.
1912 October 19 - November 25: Sailed from Montevideo to the Adelaide Semaphore in 37 days.
1912: Sold to A.P. Rolph, Glasgow, for £ 7250 and was renamed Annie M. Reid.
1915: Sold to J. Rolph jr, San Francisco.
1921: Sailed from Honolulu to San Francisco in 33 days.
1921: Laid up at Oakland Creek.
1922: Sold to Rolph Navigation & Coal Co., San Francisco.
1934: Sold as a lighter.
1935: Broken up at Alameda, San Francisco.
