Howard D. Troop

A four-masted steel barque built in 1892 by R. Duncan & Co., Port Glasgow. Dimensions: 88,76×12,85×7,31 meters [291'3"×42'2"×24'0"] and tonnage: 2165 GRT and 2080 NRT.

Rigged with royal sails over double top and topgallant sails.

Launched at the shipyard of R. Duncan & Co., Port Glasgow, for Troop & Son, Glasgow [?]. Captain Raymond Parker.

Sailed from Greenock to New York in 13 days 2 hours from Tory Island where the tug was dropped.
