James Kerr

A four-masted steel barque built in 1892 by T. Royden & Sons, Liverpool. Dimensions: 89,52×12,54×7,43 meters [293'9"×41'2"×24'5"], tonnage: 2420 GRT and 2281 NRT.

Rigged with royal sails over double top and topgallant sails. Sister ship to the same owner's Fannie Kerr (1892).

1892 August: Launched at the shipyard of T. Royden & Sons, Liverpool, for E.R. Peel & G. McAllester & Sons, Liverpool.
1905: Sold to William Thomas & Sons, Liverpool.
1910 March 29: Sold to Knöhr & Burchard, Hamburg, and was renamed Isebek.
1914: Interned in Valparaiso during the war.
1920: Handed over to the victorious powers as war damage compensation.
1923: Sold to Soffia Gonzalez & Co., Valparaiso.
1926 January 19: Stranded at Chanaral.
