Polymnia

A four-masted iron barque built in 1886 by Blohm & Voss, Hamburg. Dimensions: 88,56×12,97×7,23 meters [290'7"×42'7"×23'9"] and tonnage 2129 GRT and 2052 NRT. Rigged with royal sails above double top and single topgallant sails.

1886: Launched at the shipyard of Blohm & Voss, Hamburg, for B. Wencke Söhne, Hamburg. Captain V.B. Diedrichsen.
1906: Sold to Rhederei AG von 1896, Hamburg. Captain O.A. Schellhass.
1907 March 10: Stranded at Insel Bayley, Wollaston Group, Cape Horn, on voyage from Pisagua to Falmouth.
