A four-masted steel barque built in 1890 by Russell & Co., Port Glasgow. Dimensions: 86,12×13,10×7,33 meters [282'7"×43'0"×24'1"] and tonnage 2384 GRT and 2264 NRT. Rigged in jubilee fashion, i.e. with nothing above double top and topgallant sails.

Launched at the shipyard of Russell & Co., Port Glasgow, for D. Bruce & Co., Dundee. Captain J. Walker.
Sold to J. Tidemann & Co., Bremen, and was renamed Ecuador. Captain J. Westphal.
Sold to J.C. Pflüger & Co., Bremen, and was renamed H. Hackfield.
Interned at Caleta Coloso for the duration of the war.
Delivered to Italy as war damage compensation.
