World War II Cargo Ship and Memorial Museum

The S.S. Lane Victory is the only Victory Ship on display in the world. She was built in 1945 at California Shipbuilding Corporation, Terminal Island, California. She is named after Lane College, in Jackson, Tennesee. Isaac Lane was a former slave and founder of the college.

The S.S. Lane Victory is a living memorial to all the men who lost their lives at sea. The S.S. Lane Victory served in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam.

The S.S. Lane Victory is a working cargo ship. The ship boasts a World War II Museum, Radio Room, Amateur Radio Room, and Library.

The S.S. Lane Victory has been restored to its original condition by an all-volunteer crew of senior citizens.

Membership is open to the public for USD 28,00 per year.
