5529 GRT, 3449 NRT. Powered by two steam turbines driving a single propellor.

- 1942 February 13
- The American cargo liner Azalea City, Capt. George R. Self, left Trinidad for Philadelphia on February 13th, 1942. She was not in convoy and was never seen again. The Azalea City carried a crew of 38 all told.
- 1942 February 21
- At 01:23 hours, in the North Sea the German u-boat U 432, under the command of Capt. Schultze, torpedoed and sunk the Azalea City in position 38°N and 73°W.
