Sister ship to the same owner's Mount Stewart (1891).

- Launched at the shipyard of Barclay, Curle & Co., Glasgow, for Donaldson Rose & Co. Assigned the official British Reg. No. ____ and signal ____. Employed in the Australian wool trade. Captain E.H. Andrew was the first master of the ship.
- Sailed from Sydney to London in 80 days.

- Wrecked in a fog at Bass Point, Lizard, 126 days out on voyage with a cargo of nitrate from Taltal to Falmouth f.o. Captain Arthur, Dundee, was in command.
