An iron full-rigged ship built in 1877 by Harland & Wolff, Belfast, as hull no. 114. Dimensions 78,69×22,59×6,95 meters [258'0"×38'0"×22'8"] and tonnage 1664 GRT, 1569 NRT and 1479 tons under deck.

Delivered to J.P. Corry & Co., Belfast. Assigned the official British Reg. No. 78105 and signal SCKG. Employed in the Indian jute trade.
