Torridon

An iron fullrigged ship built in 1885 by A. Hall & Co., Aberdeen. Dimensions: 246'0"×38'1"×22'0" and tonnage: 1564 GRT, 1502 NRT and 1391 tons under deck. The Torridon was a near sister ship to the same owner's ship Yallaroi (1885).

1885: Launched at the shipyard of A. Hall & Co., Aberdeen, for A. Nicol & Co., Aberdeen. Assigned the official British Reg. No. 88867 and signal ____. Employed in the Australian trade.
1885: Captain W. Shepherd late of the Romanoff.
1885: Sailed from Deal on her maiden voyage to Sydney in 90 days.
1889 January 12 - April 29: Sailed from Sydney to London in 107 days.
1890 January 25 - April 26: Sailed from Sydney to London in 91 days.
1906: Sold to Italian owners for £ 4250.
1916 August 27: Sunk by a German submarine.
