Battleship built in 1912 by Newport News Shipbuilding & Drydock Co., Newport News, VA. Her dimensions are 172,36x29,02x9,05(d) m [565'5x92'2x29'7(d)] and displacement 27000 tons.

1910-06-24: Authorized.
1911-04-17: Keel laid.
1914-03-12: Commissioned with Capt. A. W. Grant commanding.
1917: Joined the Grand Fleet in Scapa Flow at the United States entry into World War I.
1925-1927: Re-built at the Norfolk Navy Yard where anti-torpedo bulges were fitted. Oilfired boilers were installed and one funnel removed.
1948: Decommissioned and transferred to the State of Texas, Battleship Texas Commission and serves presently as a museum ship at San Jacinto, TX.
