A clipper ship built in 1847 by Brown & Bell, New York. Dimensions 173'×34'6"×19'11" and tonnage: 957 tons OM and 752 tons NM.

Launched at the shipyard of Brown & Bell, New York, for A.A. Low & Brother, New York. Intended for the China trade. Captain N.B. Palmer who supervised the building of the new ship was give command.

Captain Theodore D. Palmer replaced his brother as master of the ship.
