Stornoway

An extreme clipper ship built in 1850 by Alexander Hall & Sons, Aberdeen, hull no. 175, at a total cost of £9948 16s 6½d. Her dimensions were: 157'8"×28'8"×17'8" and tonnage: 595 tons [OM] and 527 tons [NM].

Later re-rigged as a barque.

1850 August 8
Launched at the shipyard of Alexander Hall & Sons, Aberdeen, for Jardine, Matheson & Co., London. Assigned the official British Reg. No. 10520. She was assigned 12A1 by Lloyd's Register. Her first master was Captain John Robertson.
