Combined passenger and cargo ship built in 1980 at Götaverken, Gothernburg, for the Svenska Amerika Linien.

- Launched at the shipyard of Götaverken, Gothernburg.
- 1956 July 26
- Collided with the Italian Line ship Andrea Doria off Nantucket Island, which latter ship sank with the loss of 60 lives.
- 1960
- Sold to East Germany and renamed Völkerfreundschaft.
- 1985
- Sold to Neptunus Rex and renamed Volker.
- 1993
- Renamed Frisjthof Nantsen, later renamed to Italia 1 and then back to Frisjthof Nantsen again.
- 1995
- Rebuilt and euipped with a completely new superstructure and renamed Italia Prima
