Formosa

An iron full-rigged ship built in 1883 by Russell & Co., Port Glasgow. Dimensions 78,20×11,62×6,92 meters [256'4"×38'1"×22'7"] and 1651 GRT, 1555 NRT and 1499 tons under deck. Rigged with royals over double top and topgallant sails. Later reduced to barque rig.

Launched at the shipyard of Russell & Co., Port Glasgow, for the "Island Line" of P. Denniston & Co., Glasgow. Assigned the official British Reg. No. 87700 and signal HWDQ.

Sold to P. Jacobsen, Porsgrund, Norway. Captain C. Ellesfsen.
1915
Captain E. Eriksen.
1915 November
Stranded at St Davids on voyage to Mersey with a cargo of timber. A note in Lloyd's Register states that she was later refloated. c1925 Hulked at Gibraltar [Lubbock]
1956
Reported to be used for jet fuel storage at Gibraltar.
