Golden Fleece

A wooden barque built in 1863 by Pile, Sunderland. Dimensions: 130'0"×27'0"×16'0" and tonnage: 381 tons. Later 393 GRT, 393 NRT and 350 tons under deck. She was also able to load 32 tons under a raised quarter deck. Equipped with iron beams.

Launched at the shipyard of Pile, Sunderland. Assigned the official British Reg. No. 47353 and signal VNGS.

Sold to Olof Ullberg, Ullånger, Sweden. The first Swedish master was Captain Per Edman. Assigned the Swedish signal HQSN.

Captain Olof Ullberg assumed command of the vessel.

Sailed from Haiti for Russia.
1884 September 4
Foundered in the North Sea.
