Inveruglas

An iron full-rigged ship built in 1883 by Robert Steel & Co., Greenock. Dimensions: 230'4"×39'0"×23'5" and tonnage: 1746 GRT, 1684 NRT and 1622 tons under deck. Rigged with royal sails over double topgallant and top sails.

1883: Launched at the shipyard of Robert Steel & Co., Greenock, for .... Assigned the official British Reg. No. 87394 and signal PGVL. Employed in the ... trade.
1886: Sold to Sierra Shipping Co., Liverpool, and was renamed Sierra Lucena.
1887: Captain P. Murdock.
1907: Sold to Chr. Nielsen & Co., Larvik, Norway, and was renamed Sophia.
1907: Captain Chr. Farup.
1912: Captain Frithj. Holst.
1916: Sold to Wegger & Øhre, Sandefjord, Norway.
1916: Run over by an American tanker on the River Plate. Was repaired.
c1917: Laid up in Hampton Roads after the war.
1917: Captain Hans Mikkelsen.
1921: Captain Frithj. Holst.
1922: Captain Hans Mikkelsen.
1923 April: Sold to an artists and writers club in New York to be used as a sail training ship. Was renamed Tusitala.
1925 September 17 - December 24: Sailed from Honolulu to Seattle, WA, in 16 days and 9 hours.
