An iron full-rigged ship built in 1886 by Oswald, Mordaunt & Co., Southampton, as Yard No. 231C/241. Dimensions 86,62×12,20×7,38 meters [284'0"×40'0"×24'2"] and 2291 GRT, 2238 NRT and 2143 tons under deck.

Launched at the shipyard of Oswald, Mordaunt & Co., for Sailing Ship Leyland Brothers Co. Ltd. (R.W. Leyland & Co.), Liverpool. Assigned the official British Reg. No. 93707 and signal KJHD.

Sold to Portuguese owners for £ 6000 and was renamed Empreza Nacional.
