Mersey
An iron paddle steam ship built in 1859 by Samuda Brothers, Poplar, London.
Dimensions: 260'4"×30'2"×16'5" and tonnage: 1039 GRT, 767 NRT and 923 tons under deck.
Later re-built as a sailing ship.

- Launched at the shipyard of Samuda Brothers, Poplar, for the Royal Mail Steam Packet Co. Assigned the official British Reg. No. 27224 and signal PQJV.
- 1876
- Sold to Benjamin Adamson, Kingston, Jamacia.
- 1878
- Sold to W. Moodie, London.
- 1881
- Re-built as a four-masted "jackass" barque. New measurements: 998 GRT and 924 NRT.
- 1884
- Sold to A. Major & Co., London. Captain McGonagle. [Alexandersson has 1887]
- 1889
- LR 1889-90: Owner: A. Major & Co., London. New measurements: 993 GRT, 963 NRT and 923 tons under deck.
- 1892
- Sold to C. Christian, London, and re-built as a four-masted baquentine.
- 1898
- Sold to Skibs A/S Mersey (Nils Jacob Molland), Grimstad, Norway.
- 1901 December 28
- Grounded at Goodwin Sands on voyage from Rosario to Goole with a cargo of quebracho.
