Miltiades

An iron fullrigged ship built in 1871 by Walter Hood & Co., Aberdeen. Dimensions 240'5"×39'3"×23'3" and 1495 GRT, 1452 NRT and 1413 tons under deck.

1871 April: Launched at the shipyard of Walter Hood & Co., Aberdee, for Aberdeen White Star Line (G. Thompson & Co.), Aberdeen. Assigned the official British Reg. No. 60710 and signal KJHR.
1871-1885: Captain Perrett.
1873 May 5 - July 15: Sailed from London to Hobson's Bay in 70 days, or 63 days pilot to pilot.
1885: Captain Harry Ayling.
1890 February 8 - April 27: Sailed from Lyttleton to London in 78 days.
1891 January 14 - April 6: Sailed from Wellington to London in 82 days.
1896 December 29 - March 23: Sailed from San Francisco to London in 84 days.
1898 [?]: Sold to Maresca, Castellamare, Italy.
