Myrtle Holme

An iron fullrigged ship built in 1875 by Bartram & Co., Sunderland. Dimensions 211'0"×32'9"×19'7" and 945 GRT, 902 NRT and 886 tons under deck.
1875 June
Launched at the shipyard of Bartram & Co., Sunderland, for Hine Bros., Maryport. Assigned the official British Reg. No. 72921 and signal PCGN.
1878
Re-rigged as a barque.
1908
Sold to Theodor Bentzen, Arendal, Norway, and was renamed Glimt. Assigned the Norwegian signal KDQB.
1915 August 30
Sailed from Ellesmere Port in ballast for Gaspè, Canada, under command of Captain Gunerius Andersen.
1915 September 4
Sunk by a German submarine in the North Sea. The crew was picked up by the Danish schooner Alf of Rudkøping and later transferred to the British patrol boat T. Lucida.
