Sigyn

A wooden barque built in 1887 by the Gamla Varvet, Gothenburg, Sweden. Her dimensions are 42,50×9,3×3,96(d) m [139'42x30'50x13'0] and tonnage 359 GRT and 301 NRT.

1887: Launched at the Gamla Varvet, Gothenburg, for A. Landgrens Enka, Gothenburg.
1914: Re-rigged as a barquentine.
1927: Sold to owners on Åland (Finland).
1938: Acquired by the Sjöhistoriska Museet vid Åbo Akademi, Åbo/Turku, Finland.
1971: A complete restoration program was initiated.
