An iron full-rigged ship built in 1872 by Harland & Wolff, Belfast, as Yard No. 82. Dimensions 70,76×10,68×6,71 meters [232'0"×35'0"×22'0"] and 1337 GRT, 1284 NRT and 1256 tons under deck.

Launched at the shipyard of Harland & Wolff, Belfast, for J.P. Corry & Co., Belfast. Assigned the official British Reg. No. 63949 and signal LCRG. Employed in the Calcutta jute trade for ten years.

Sailed from London [?] to Sydney in 79 days.

Sold to Foley, Aikman & Co., London.
