Tamerlane
Three masted barque built in 1824 at St. Martins, New Brunswick. Dimensions:
108.1' × 25.6' × 20.7' and 1193 76/100 tons burthen. The
figurehead was a "Man Bust".

- Launched at St. Martins, New Brunswick.
- 1844 March 26
- Registered at Liverpool.
- 1846 October
- Stranded on Morfa Bychan Sand, Wales, but was
saved and bought by John Evans, Aberystwyth.
- 1847 June 12 [Monday]
- Sailed with Welsh emigrants from Lledrod,
Mynydd-bach, and Taihirion-y-rhos for Canada. The total number on board,
including infants and the crew, amounted to 462.
- 1848 February 26
- Abandoned in the Bay of Biscay in a sinking
condition after four of the crew had been washed overboard.
