Veronica
A wooden barque built in 1879 by J. Rowan, Indian Town, St John's, NB.
Dimensions: 186'5"×37'1"×22'1" and tonnage: 1167 GRT, 1137 NRT and 1056 tons under deck.
Rigged with royals, over single topgallant and double topsails.

- Launched at the shipyard of J. Rowan, Indian Town, St John's, NB, for T.S. Adams, St John's, NB. Assigned the official British Reg. No. 79983 and signal SWGV. Captain A.E. Payson was given command of the vessel.
- 1889
- Owner: A. Mills, St John's [LR 1889-1890].
- 1891
- Sold to W. Thomson & Co., St John's, NB.
- 1902 October 11
- Sailed from Ship Island for Montevideo with a cargo of pitch pine.
- 1902 December 21
- Burnt off the Paranhyba River by mutineers who had murdered Captain Alexander Shaw, the two officers of the ship and four men of the crew. The mutineers and the other survivors who had abandoned the ship in the boat landed on Cajueria Island where they were later picked up by the ship Brunswick and brought to Liverpool.
