Zippora
Three-masted ship built of pine and pitchpine in 1878 by J. Hauge, Haugesund. Dimensions 54,41×10,9×6,4 meters and tonnage 934,94 GRT and c. 1500 DWT.
- 1878
- Launched at the shipyard of J. Hauge, Haugesund, for O.H. Sundfør (managing owner).
- 1886
- Re-rigged as a barque.
- 1906
- Sold to A/S Zippora (Joh. J. Hassel), Risør.
- 1914
- Caught by the war on voyage from Brazil to the Baltic with dye-wood and put into Karlshamn, Sweden, and was laid up.
- 1914 November
- Bought in Karlshamn by Ola Olsson, Åhus, on the condition that it should not be used until the war was over.
- 1919 July
- The purchase-deed was signed. Assigned the Swedish registration number 6186 and signal KCFM.
- 1919 October
- Was repaired for SEK 12.898 and put into use again. Transferred to Rederi AB Olani. Captain C.A. Mårtensson, Kivik, was given command of the ship.
- 1919 November
- The legendary Captain Lars Göransson, Hviteölla, replaced Captain Mårtensson.
- 1922 January
- Sold to Anders Olsson (managing owner), Skillinge, for SEK 25.000.
- 1924 May
- Sold to Holger N. Olsson, Torsås, Berkqvara, for SEK 12.000.
- 1924 October 24
- Arrived to Hudiksvall with a cargo of coal from England and was laid up when the cargo was discharged.
- 1927
- Sold to Johan Holmström, Torekov, for SEK 5500 to be broken up.
- 1927 June 15
- Towed from Hudiksvall to Torekov and broken up at Slättaröds mal.
