La Tribune

French 12 pounder frigate of 34-44 guns built in Rochefort in 1794. Dimensions: 143'7½"; 119'0 5/8"×38'0½"×11'6½" and 916 34/94 tons.

Upper deck:
26 × 12 pounder guns.
Quarter deck:
6 × 6 pounder guns.
Forecastle:
2 × 6 pounder guns.
Constructed by P.-A. Haran.

Launched at Rochefort as the La Charente-Inférieure and probably built by Chevillard the Younger, later renamed La Tribune.
1796-06-07
Taken by the British 32-gun frigate Unicorn under command of Captain Williams after a 10 hours running fight. The commander of La Triubune was Commodore Moulton.
1797-11-23
Wrecked at the entrance to Halifax Harbour.
The wreck has been found and been dived upon.

The lines were taken of shortly after her capture are dated Portsmouth 18 August 1796.
