USS Constellation

A 22-gun corvette designed by John Lentham and built at the Norfolk Navy Yard, Norfolk, VA, in 1855. Her dimensions are 53,64×12,73×6,10 [d] m [176'0×41'9"×20'0" [d]] and with a displacement of 1960 tons.

Has been restored to represent a frigate of the end of the 18th century. Presently preserved as a museum ship at the Constellation Dock, Baltimore, MD.

As of May 1995 closed to the public due to detoriated condition.

On September 20, 1996, The Mariner, the Guide to Boating and Leisure on Chesapeake Bay, reported that USS Constellation prepares for drydock.
