A four-masted steel barque built in 1895 by R. Williamson & Son, Workington. Dimensions: 93,94×14,07×7,82 meters [308'3"×46'2"×25'8"] and tonnage: 2958 GRT and 2797 NRT.

Rigged with royal sails over double top and topgallant sails.

Sistership to the same owner's fourmast barque Centesima (1893).

Launched at the shipyard of R. Williamson & Son, Workington, for their own account. Captain I. Webster.
1900 April 3
Stranded at Inzu, Japan, on voyage from New York to Yokohama.
